Welcome to the spanking new Youth Empowerment Scheme or YES (for short) website, it's as shiny and new as your first holiday abroad and designed especially for you. Why don't you stop by, take a look and find out how YES is empowering young people to make a difference across Belfast.

Check out a recent YES project called 'Gaining Voice'.

Everyone is affected by politics and the actions of politicans. Some of us have loud voices and can be heard, other's don't have a voice or simply don't what to say or how to articulate their concerns. YES through its 'Gaining Voice' project trained 25 children in film making to enable them to make a political broadcast about issues that matter most to them. And the result ..... a seven minute political broadcast on issues selected by childern; issues like animal cruelty, racism and bullying. You will see by clicking on the video above how YES particpants brought to life an anti-smoking message aimed at educating their peers.

Ever fancied looking at Belfast in a different light, explore a bit and discover something new or are you a big scaredy cat?

Photography is a wonderful thing. It's an extension of our memory, it can provoke action or emotion, depict a place or  time - ultimately it's about perserving history.

How do you reckon YES particpants got on in creating a bit of history by documenting the fusion of bright and colourful cultures in Belfast?
